Miss Becky Swatton

Principal & Founder

Becky began dancing at the age of 3 at a local Dance School. During her time as an amateur she took part in many local theatre productions and also gained her International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA) Intermediate Professional Performer exams in Ballet & Tap.

As a professional, Becky has achieved her Associate qualifications in Freestyle and Cheerleading with the IDTA and is currently in the process of gaining her Ballet and Tap Associate teaching qualifications.

Becky has been teaching since 2010. She a has gained a lot of experience within other dances schools and enjoys learning different teaching techniques from other dance professionals. Having gained lots of different experience she fulfilled her dreams and opened Emerald Academy in 2013. Becky enjoys bettering herself by taking regular courses, in turn bringing out the best in her pupils.

Miss Georgie

Georgie's dance career started from a very young age dancing at local dance schools. She has then gone on to study dance at University and graduated with a 1st Class BA Hons degree. Along side this she also obtained her IDTA Freestyle Teaching Associate.

Georgie's specialties are, jazz, contemporary and cheer dance but she loves to teach a complete variety of styles! Georgie's experience in cheer-leading first started at university when she got onto the competition squad, she was also lucky enough to represent the United Kingdom in the cheer-leading world championships in 2015.

Teaching for Georgie is a passion, not a job and she is so excited to be a-part of the Emerald Academy team.
